Nato And The Warsaw Pact

Nato and the warsaw pact started really small in a group and expanded sometime in the late 1940's and it probably started with like 8 or 9 countrys and it started to grow over time. Nato happened to grow and then Nato was a big group that was made up by most of Europe and North America and one of the biggest reason why Nato was formed was because the countrys that was involved wanted to have mutal defense alliance. So that if at anytime one of the countrys that was part of the Nato then all the other countrys where forced to come to the rescue. The Warsaw Pact
was mostly consisted by the Soviet Union and its satellite countrys and the reason for its making was because it was supose to be another mutual defense alliances like the north atlantic treaty.

The Film The Right Stuff Directed by Philip Kaufman in the year of 1983 is based on. The U.S and the USSR was competing on 2 see who was more up to date with there technology anf the United States was mad because of the fact that Russia sended a satellite first into space and the United States was planing on doing that and then when the United States planed on sending a man to the moon the United States started to test there best man doing them pyhsycal test and othere examination like testing monkeys aswell and building there rockets the United States Decided to send a money up 2 the moon first to represent the United States. Then the Russians once again over came the United States and sended a actaul human to the moon making the Russians the first country to send a man into space making the United State look bad once again. the scene that best helped me remember the cold war was the last scene where in May1963 the best astronaut traveld completely all 22 orbits.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was considered “the hottest moment in the Cold War” because of the fact that the Soviet missiles were only powerful enough to be launched against Europe but the United States. missiles were capable of striking against the entire Soviet Union and sometime In late April 1962. The Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev came up with the idea of placing missiles in Cuba. To intimidate the u.s from invating Cuba and in 1962 the Soviet Union worked fast and secretly to build its missile installed in Cuba. Some time in October 1962 the United states got photographs that revealed the Soviet was secretly constructing missiles in Cuba. President John .f. Kennedy made a group know by the name of Ex-Comm which was made up by twelve of his most trusted man which he made in charge of taken care of the sittuation President Kennedy also said that any nuclear missile that would be launched from Cuba would be considerd as an attack on the U.S by the Soviet Union and demanded that the Soviets remove all of their offensive weapons from Cuba. One of the worst days was in October 27 when the crisis really got bad when a U-2 was shut down in cuba and President J.f.Kennedy recived a letter from Khrushchev demending the u.s to remove there missiles from turkey if they wanted the missles removed from cuban land but President Kennedey decided to ignor it.

The treaty of versallies affected germany in many ways because after they lost in ww1 they where blamed for everything . Germany was made responsible of all the damages and for that cause they had to pay compensation . Another way the lost of Germany in ww1 was that Germany lost alot of property (land) . i dont think the treaty was fear because it wasnt only germany part of the war it takes more then one country to have a war but i think it was right for having a country pay off compensation but i think it shouldn't of only been Germany. I also think that if the treaty of versallies would of never screwed over Germany hitler would of never came in power and hurt so many people

Mohandas. K . Gandhi's life was difficult as he sufferd fighting for his people's independance durring the 20th century as the britsh empire ruled whats now india. Gandhi first started to fight for his people in south africa. Gandhi helped his people gain independance from the britsh empire by telling them not to fight back when the britsh atacks them so by Gandhi showing no violence he would make them look bad. Good things about Gandhi was that he would get the britch mad not by fighting back but by telling his people not to by britsh products such as clothing and salt. Gandhi inspierd the muslims and hindus to make there own clothing and getting there own salt. Gandhi would not eat when his people would let him down as in fighting back or showing violance Gandhi would start eating after they stoped fighting or showing violance. Unfortanaly Gahndi was assasinated January,30 1948 at age of 78.
